then I'll list the ones I don't have, to have a complete list.Īfter number three it gets pretty difficult, though. How about I just list all the ones I have, because it's quite a few now, and I like making lists.
I love N64 racing games of course, it's one of the best genres on the platform, just full of titles, many of which are good. Besides, if you've played Ridge Racer DS, you've played RR64. Both are so many times inferior to the Playstation versions. For instance, as a huge Wipeout and Ridge Racer fan, I cannot recommend either Ridge Racer 64 or Wipeout 64 to any racing fan. I think there's probably a lot of nostalgia coming into play here. That said, you may have to take a lot of what we say with a grain of salt. Graphically, these don't hold up very well (though how many N64 games do) but back in the day they were a ton of fun. The fun part in these games were finding the hidden routes and then racing the courses backwards and finding the hidden routes in them. San Francisco Rush and to a lesser extent Rush 2. Just a fun game where you even have things to collect in order to.damn - I don't even remember what the collectable stuff unlocked. But not only was the car handling superb, the course layouts were very well done, and they were long in some instances. What a great surprise this game was, even though it was limited by the fact it only had Volkswagon Beetles. Still, it's one of the more memorable racers on the system, imo.īeetle Adventure Racing.
Though I remember it getting quite difficult. If not my favorite, at least in the top 3. Top Gear Rally was probably my favorite racer on the N64.
